Selected candidates Grundtvig workshop “Places of worship. Touching the earth, gazing at the sky.”

Target group of workshop:
The workshop is aimed at graduates, preferably long-term unemployed in their field, architects, engineers, art school graduates, graduates of computer and relative technical colleges, who will acquire valuable learning experience and enhance their individual skills and abilities in three-dimensional visualization of buildings and monuments of cultural heritage in particular.
Selection of participants will be based on consideration of CV and supporting documents that will prove whether they are employed or not and on what subject.
Efforts will be made to select candidates from more than three different countries, except Greece, to achieve the greatest possible dissemination of information.

The Municipality of Agia, Larissa, in the Region of Thessaly, Greece, is organizing a 12-day Lifelong Learning / Grundtvig workshop, to be sponsored by the EU (Reference number: 2012-1-GR1-GRU13-10550), entitled:
“Places of worship. Touching the earth, gazing at the sky.”
The Workshop will be held in Agia from 15th to 26th June 2013 in cooperation with the 7th Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities.
The working language is English and the number of participants is 20, residents of European Union countries (except Greece), Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland
Beyond the restricted number of people who will be hosted by the organizing authority, the seminar is open to interested applicants.
In the first part of the workshop to be held at the Municipal Cultural Centre “Chrysallis” there will be a series of presentations by academics, scientists and other researchers in the area related to the history, architecture and worship in the region of Agia.
In the second part of the workshop, during site visits, participants will have the opportunity under the guidance of speakers to learn about the techniques of mapping and surveying monuments as well as participate in practice sessions in churches and monasteries of Agia (including the Panteleimon Monastery of Agia, the Monastery in Megalovryso and the Church of Velika Castle).
Upon completion of the workshop, participants, who are graduates, preferably long -term unemployed in their fields, architects, engineers and art graduates, graduates of technology and informatics will acquire valuable learning experiences and improve their personal skills in surveying and three-dimensional visualization of monuments of cultural heritage.

Ο Δήμος Αγιάς Λάρισας της Περιφέρειας Θεσσαλίας στην Ελλάδα στο πλαίσιο του Ευρωπαϊκού Προγράμματος Δια Βίου Μάθηση/Εργαστήρια Grundtvig διοργανώνει 12ημερο Εργαστήριο, επιχορηγούμενο από την Ε.Ε. (αριθμός αναφοράς: 2012-1-GR1-GRU13-10550), με τίτλο:
«Λατρευτικοί τόποι αγγίζοντας τη γη, ατενίζοντας τον ουρανό»
Το Εργαστήριο θα υλοποιηθεί από 15 έως 26 Ιουνίου 2013 στην Αγιά με τη συνεργασία της 7ης Εφορείας Βυζαντινών Αρχαιοτήτων.
Γλώσσα εργασίας είναι η Αγγλική και ο αριθμός των συμμετεχόντων είναι 20, κάτοικοι χωρών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (εκτός της Ελλάδας), Ισλανδίας, Λιχτενστάιν, Νορβηγίας, Τουρκίας, Κροατίας, Ελβετίας
Πέραν του κλειστού αριθμού ατόμων, που θα φιλοξενηθούν από τον φορέα οργάνωσης, οι εργασίες του σεμιναρίου είναι ανοιχτές σε ενδιαφερόμενους, μετά από δήλωση συμμετοχής.
Στο πρώτο μέρος του Εργαστηρίου θα δοθεί σειρά εισηγήσεων από πανεπιστημιακούς, ειδικούς επιστήμονες και άλλους ερευνητές της περιοχής, στο Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο «Χρυσαλλίδα», για την ιστορία, τη λατρεία και την αρχιτεκτονική στην ευρύτερη περιοχή Αγιάς.
Στο δεύτερο μέρος του Εργαστηρίου με την καθοδήγηση των εισηγητών, κατά τις επιτόπιες επισκέψεις, οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να ενημερωθούν για τις τεχνικές καταγραφής και αποτύπωσης μνημείων και να συμμετάσχουν στην δοκιμαστική εφαρμογή τους σε εκκλησίες και μοναστήρια της περιοχής Αγιάς (μεταξύ των οποίων στη Μονή Παντελεήμονα Αγιάς, στη Μονή στο Μεγαλόβρυσο και την εκκλησία του Κάστρου Βελίκας).
Με την ολοκλήρωση των εργασιών του Εργαστηρίου οι συμμετέχοντες, οι οποίοι είναι πτυχιούχοι, κατά προτίμηση μακροχρόνια άνεργοι στο αντικείμενό τους, αρχιτέκτονες, μηχανικοί και απόφοιτοι σχολών καλών τεχνών, τεχνολογικών και Η/Υ, θα αποκτήσουν τις απαραίτητες μαθησιακές εμπειρίες και θα ενισχύσουν τις ατομικές δεξιότητες και ικανότητές τους στην αποτύπωση αλλά και στην τρισδιάστατη απεικόνιση μνημείων πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς.
